Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that more than 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers evacuated from the Azovstal Steel Plant in the city of Mariupol have been held captive by Russia. In May, thousands of soldiers were evacuated from the Azovstal plant in the eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol and taken to the Donbas region occupied by Russia.
