While Russia’s occupation of Ukraine continued, a celebration ceremony was held in Moscow for the 8th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also attended the ceremony.
In his speech, Putin said that the Ukrainian operation has united his country more than ever before.
The speech of the Russian leader was interrupted for a while,
The Kremlin announced a technical malfunction.
Speaking at the event, where tens of thousands of people carrying Russian flags filled the stadium, Putin said,
“We know what we have to do. We know how to do it and we know what price we have to pay.
We will definitely fulfill all our plans,” he said.
Putin said that the operation in Ukraine showed that Russia is united.
“They help each other shoulder to shoulder, they support each other.
When necessary, they shield each other against bullets like brothers. We haven’t been together like this for a long time,” he said.
Pointing out that the day the Ukrainian operation started coincides with the birthday of Russian Admiral Fyodor Ushakov, who has not been defeated in a single war during his military career, Putin said:
“Admiral Fyodor Ushakov, who has never lost a single war in his life, said so. All these storms will bring glory to Russia.
He finished his speech with the words “He will add glory to Russia now and in the future as it was then”.
