“Indiscriminately attacking civilians is a war crime, and Russia’s crimes in Ukraine will not go unpunished,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said at a joint news conference in London with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“We share exactly the same fear and disgust at the brutality that has unfolded, including the bombings of refugees fleeing the attacks,” Johnson said in a statement about the attack on the train station in eastern Ukraine, noting that Germany and Britain condemned the attack.

“Attacking civilians indiscriminately is a war crime, and crimes in Ukraine will not go unpunished,

” Johnson said of the attacks, adding that they “show the depths to which Putin’s once-vaunted army has sunk.”
