Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has asked the West to impose an embargo on Russia’s oil exports, saying Ukraine has no time left to wait.
Zelenskiy is the 45th president of the Ukraine-Russia war. in his address to the nation on the day, he said that more painful restrictions should be placed on Russia’s cash flows. Noting that the entire civilized and democratic world needs to take action, Zelenskiy continued: “We don’t have time to wait. Freedom does not have time to wait.
Russia can afford to introduce its new forces and new equipment into our country. Immediate action must be taken and an oil embargo imposed against the tyrant.
” Zelenskiy thanked the President of the European Union (EU) Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the Stand Up For Ukraine campaign and the more than $10 billion in aid commitments raised for people fleeing bombs inside and outside Ukraine.
